I hate Bubsy. He’s annoying. He’s unoriginal. He’s stupid. He’s what every video game character DOESN’T want to be.
…so who’s idea was it to give him a television show?
Okay, for those of you who don’t know, Bubsy was the mascot for the video game company, Accolade. He starred in many games on the SEGA Genesis and is most famous for the abomination known as Bubsy 3D for the Playstation. His main character trait is that he is loud-mouthed and loves to make pop culture references. Just by that description alone you can guess why I hate him.
In 1993, a television pilot for the character was pitched. It was never picked up for a full series. Why? Let’s see.
There’s been a lot of movies and shows based off of video games, and there have been a lot of video games based off of animated shows and films. Mostly, they’re bad, so I’ve decided to spend this week dedicated to them!
Starting today, I’ll be reviewing animated/non-animated works based on video games and video games based off of animated/non-animated works. If there are any games or films you’d like me to review, feel free to suggest!
See you later, Animators!
Posing is an important part of animation. Posing is a HUGE part of the animation progress. These poses communicate more what the character is feeling than the face does. As much as I LOVE facial animation, I have to give extra special attention to making sure my poses are the best they can be. How do I make sure of this? Well, this is my checklist.
I love Studio Ghibli. LOVE. I mean, I’m a devoted animation fan, and a lot of devoted animation fans love Studio Ghibli. So, obviously I was psyched to watch this film. What did I think of it? Was it a Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece, or another pretentious bore-fest? Let’s see.
You’ve seen my Top 8 Disneyland rides, now here are my Top 8 California Adventure rides!
Let’s face it, Disney California Adventure sucked when it first opened. It really did. It had nothing to do with Disney, and it was filled with uninspired, boring attractions. Sure, there were the occasional diamonds in the rough but overall, it was an utter catastrophe.
But the announcement was made that the entire park was getting a complete overhaul. New rides, new shows, and a new overall feel. This new park paid tribute to the classic America that Walt Disney grew up with. This park would be different than the old one, and it would be miles better.
And it was! California Adventure reopened to an astounding success, and has since become an essential part of visiting Disneyland.
But I digress. Without further ado, here are my Top 8 Disney California Adventure Rides!
I love Spongebob. I really do. I remember watching it when I was younger, and I still have so many cherished memories from this show. It is possibly the television show I quote the most. (ARE YOU FEELING IT NOW, MR. KRABS?)
I also watched the first Spongebob movie when it came out on DVD, and I loved it. When I first heard of rumors that a sequel was surfacing (no pun intended), I was hyped as heck. What would it be about? Would it continue from the first film? Will it finally explain where the freaking heck The Krusty Krab 2 is? When the first trailer was released, I was even more hyped. It’s exactly like I remember it! I was happy to see Stephen Hillenburg back in the writer’s chair. I had to see this.
I did end up seeing the film soon after it was released. What did I think of it? Well…let’s see.
One of the lesser known Dreamworks films, this film came out in 2000. It may not be known that well, but it still has a good group of followers.
The Road to El Dorado is a film that I wanted to see for a long time. I’e heard decent reviews about it, and it’s only now that I got a chance to sit down and watch it. Is it as good as some people say or something that should remain forgotten? Let’s see.
It’s finally 2015!
….that’s it…..that’s all I wanted to say….
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! I had recently been to Disneyland for the holidays and to help recover from PDLD (Post-Disneyland Disorder), I’ve decided to make a list of my Top 8 Disneyland Attractions. Why top 8? Because I could only think of 8. Let’s begin!
