Oswald Reviews: Pixar Movies (Finding Nemo)

This is another one of my favorites. I love it a lot. Sure, the ride is sort of boring and the effects are decent, but the film is breathtaking.

Why do I like this film so much? Let’s see.
Story: After the death of Marlin’s wife, Marlin promises his son that he will protect him. Then Nemo gets caught. After meeting a fish named Dory, they go out to do…what else…FIND NEMO.

So, to get it out of the way, yes, the scene where Marlin’s wife dies is sad. Just as sad as Bambi’s mother’s death.

Other than that, the story is so perfect. Each scene makes sense, each character has emotion, and every moment seems genuine.

There’s only one problem. When the girl clownfish dies, the oldest boy fish will take her place. So shouldn’t Marlin be Nemo’s mother?

I’m over analyzing this. Either way, beautiful story.

Animation: Pixar animation plus beautiful ocean,  cool fish, and giant freaking whale. Next one.

Characters: Like I said earlier, each one of these characters are very emotional. They seem real, and are very lovable.

But not all of them are like that…

Other than that, Great characters.

In conclusion, Finding Nemo is a Pixar masterpiece. Props to Andrew Stanton for making such a beautiful film! See you later, Animators!
